What is the CCC? Christian Construction Crew. Two of the “Dream List” items from last year were to have a church construction team and to participate in “short term” mission projects. From that the “CCC” is forming. This will be a group of people (women and men) who would be willing to work on short term construction related projects for the church, a church member, community member, or another church who has a need. As Steve or someone from our church is approached, or if you see a “need” in the community, the CCC leaders will check out the situation, determine if it is a project that the crew could handle, estimate material and costs, and then schedule the appropriate volunteers to work. At this time we don’t know how often the need will arise for the CCC’s help, but as their presence is known throughout the community, we hope to inspire others to join us – both in helping other people and in worshiping Christ.
How can you help? If you would like to participate on the CCC, complete the form and return it to the paint tray in the commons area or email it back to me at conniebrown@embarqmail.com . We will need people for all positions – Construction Managers, Job Superintendents, Estimators, Material Coordinators, and Laborers. An introductory meeting will be scheduled and announced at a later date. If you are not able to physically work on a project, but would like to contribute, monetary contributions would be accepted to be used for purchasing supplies.
